I'm currently taking a class to improve my concepting skills. Each week we get a new spec assignment and work on creating a campaign that really speaks to the product. This week we are working on a print series for Suzuki Harmonicas. While brainstorming, I found some pieces that really jogged my imagination and I wanted to share the inspiration here.
These are 3 ads created by Bjoern Ewers for the Berlin Philharmonic. While I can't understand the copy, the visuals are clear. Through macro-photography of the interior of musical instruments, he created what appears to be musical arenas of their own. The dramatic soft lighting and illusion of space emits a feeling of precious craftsmanship. A great example of a simple concept but executed very well.
Going a bit of a different direction for this one, it's bold copy on a monochromatic image. Simple, effective and to the point. The right people will understand this and appreciate the tongue in cheek approach.
